and promote the cause of Christ

A typical Brightstar presentation

The format, length and content of Brightstar Presentations will vary from one venue to another. We aim to tailor our presentations to best suit the needs of a particular church or organisation. All of our presentations have one thing in common: engaging people on an emotional and spiritual level through music and other art forms, and most importantly, to raise funds for, and awareness of, the particular cause we are promoting.

A typical Brightstar Presentation may last approximately an hour and a half and look something like this:

A Short Introduction to the work of the Brightstar Collective, the specific charitable cause we are partnering with and the format for the evening.

Creative Presentation: music, song, poetry and other art-forms aim to engage hearts and minds in the work of the charity. This might include songs which speak of the needs of people we are seeking to help, instrumental pieces combined with poetry and prose readings covering universal themes such as hope, projected images and video clips.

Host’s Contribution: our host congregation, or other invited participants offer their own creative presentation. For example, a children’s choir might perform an African song, visiting African drummers might deliver an interactive workshop, local bands or writers might perform their work. The important thing is that all the items to link with the theme of the charity or cause we are promoting, speaking into the issues we are attempting to highlight.
